Earth's Mantle
Earth's mantle is a rough shell about 2,890 km (1,800 mi) thick and it is the thickest layer of the Earth. The pressure, at the bottom of the mantle is 140 degrees. The mantle is made with very weak rocks that are very shiny iron and magnesium. The high temperatures in the mantle makes the weak rocks to be very flexible and it won't be melted for a very long time. The pressure and the heat have made a thin crust of crystallized melt materials close to the land where we live in for a long time.
